Doing Business with NGA

The Office of Contract Services provides timely access to industrial resources to assist NGA in meeting critical mission requirements. In addition to prime contractor opportunities, NGA encourages the use of small businesses to reach new and innovative team members via subcontracts. NGA established the Industry Interaction Program (IIP) to facilitate NGA and industry interaction and collaboration on topics of potential interest to NGA. Its intent is to make it easy for industry to bring their ideas and products to NGA's attention.

NGA business opportunities/contracts and grants are available at:

The Industry Interaction Program is Bridging NGA and Industry

Do you have an idea for a capability, service or product of potential interest to NGA? In 2003 NGA established the Industry Interaction Program (IIP) to serve as the entry point for industry to partner with NGA. The IIP accepts all NGA vision and mission related submissions from industry and has a Board that reviews them every third Thursday of the month by a panel of NGA executives.

WHAT DO I DO FIRST? Please continue to review our website to learn more about NGA’s mission and vision; this will help you align your submission with our needs. After preparation of your concise, attention-grabbing submission it needs to be emailed to industry@nga.mil.

IS THERE A STANDARD DUE DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS? YES. Submissions are due by noon (ET) the 4th day of the month and are limited to 5MB.

WHEN WILL I HEAR FROM NGA? Within 72 business hours of receipt of your submission, a member of the IIP Team will send you an e-mail to inform you that we received your submission and when it will be reviewed by our panel of executives. If your do not receive an email please contact a member of the IIP Team at 571-557-6768.

WHAT DOES NGA DO WITH THE SUBMISSION? Your submission is saved in our industry database as a possible solution for current and future requirements. To ensure accuracy of your information please provide the following information with your submission:

  1. Full mailing address, email and/or website address, including the legal name of the company
  2. Phone number and point of contact for your submission

  6.  If you have or had contract(s) with NGA, include the contract name, number, and timeframe

WHAT IF I AM A SMALL BUSINESS? NGA’s Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU) Office has an active vendors list that is being used for future procurements, as well as for invitations to various NGA small business meetings. Further information on our SADBU program can be found on this website using the drop down menu and select “Small Business Interaction”. Information on our active Mentor-Protégé Program is also located on this page.

WHAT ARE POTENTIAL FOCUS AREAS? Per Ms. Long in SIGNAL Magazine April 2012 “Among the areas that need attention are new sensors for collection, new phenomenologies, different ways of using sensors, new analytic techniques, methods of storing large amounts of data, and ways of disseminating intelligence in a visually pleasing way.”

NOTE: NGA’s adoption of new capabilities is contingent upon mission needs and available funding.
