Tour Guidelines

Tours are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and normally last approximately 60 minutes. The program does not operate on federal holidays and weekends. Reservations may be booked from 8 to 90 days in advance. Reservations will not be accepted for tour dates within 7 days or more than 90 days away.

Information Required

To submit your reservation request, you will need to provide us the name of the group and the number of persons in the group; the date and time the tour is wanted and the name and phone number of the person requesting the tour. Tours begin and end at the Pentagon Metro entrance unless special arrangements for pickup and drop-off at another building location are requested.

Security Rosters

A security roster, including first and last name of all guests (in alphabetical order), must be returned by email to the Pentagon Tours office no later than three business days prior to your scheduled tour date. After you submit your reservation via our online request form we will email you a blank Excel document to use for your security roster. We will only approve your tour after we receive your completed security roster. If we do not receive your security roster three business days prior to your tour date, your reservation will be cancelled. Only the members of your group whose names are on your security roster will be admitted to the tour.

Checking in for Your Tour

Plan to arrive at the Pentagon Metro entrance 30 minutes before your scheduled tour to allow time for your group to process through building security. Present your tour confirmation letter and identification for each group member to Pentagon Police personnel. Once you have cleared security, proceed into the building and turn left to find the Pentagon Tours window, which is located inside the Pentagon Visitors Center in the visitor waiting area. The check in for all tours is at the Pentagon Tours window unless special arrangements for pickup at another building location have been made in advance. Your tour may be cancelled if your group has not checked in at the Pentagon Tours window prior to your scheduled tour time.
