Introduction
The Nimitz Library has a growing collection of audiovisual (AV) materials. This collection is located on the first floor of the Nimitz Library. The majority of the AV collection is listed in the Nimitz Library Catalog and includes materials in the following non-print formats:

The AV collection is arranged by format, and titles within formats are arranged by subject (Library of Congress Classification System).
- Films: In addition to the items in the AV Collection the Nimitz Library has a collection of 16mm films. This collection of films, more than 2,000 titles, were used for teaching and military training at the Naval Academy. These films are not listed in the Nimitz Library Catalog. Faculty may request 16mm films be reformatted to DVD. (List of 16mm films)
