TEMPLE HOUSING AUTHORITY AWARDED HUD GRANT
03/11/08Washington, Mar 11, 2008 -
Rep. John Carter (TX-31) today announced that the Temple Housing Authority has been awarded a $250,000 Resident Opportunities for Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Public Housing Family and Homeownership Program (RFH) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
“I am proud to represent the Temple Housing Authority and congratulate them on receiving this grant,” Rep. Carter said. “As the Representative for Central Texas, I know what a great impact this grant will have on families who live in Temple. These funds will help many families achieve the American Dream of owning a home.”
The Family and Homeownership Program is granted to eligible Public Housing Authorities, tribes/TDHEs Resident Associations, and Non-Profit organizations supported by residents for the purpose of hiring a qualified Project Coordinator to run the grant program and for the delivery and coordination of supportive services and other activities that facilitate residents capacity to achieve economic and housing self-sufficiency.
