Cong. Carter Presents AT&T Pioneer Check to Texas Military Family Foundation

Washington, May 15, 2006 -  Representative John Carter (TX-31) today presented the Texas Military Family Foundation (TMFF) with a $25,000 check from the AT&T Pioneers. The AT&T Pioneers are the largest industry-sponsored volunteer organization in the United States. In 2005, the 250,000 members of this employee and retiree organization donated over 11 million hours of volunteer service in the communities where they live and conduct business. TMFF is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to soldiers while training, deploying, returning home as well as those that are here wounded and injured. The organization’s mission is to provide quality, personalized care to soldiers away from home.

“I am pleased to have had the opportunity to present the Texas Military Family Foundation with this charitable donation from the AT&T Pioneers. I thank the AT&T Pioneers for their generosity to help the brave service men and women who serve our country. The Texas Military Family Foundation offers invaluable support to soldiers and their families,” Congressman Carter said. “The partnership of these two outstanding organizations is good news for the soldiers who are cared for by the Texas Military Family Foundation, as well as the entire Fort Hood community.”
