Army

United States Army Office of the Judge Advocate General (OTJAG)  As the top legal advisor for the Army, The Judge Advocate General (TJAG) oversees and administers all legal programs to include legal assistance services.

Army Legal Services  This website provides general information, toolkits, and answers to frequently asked questions for Soldiers, family members, and other eligible clients.  Additionally, the Army Legal Services website provides a directory of Legal Assistance Offices aboard Army installations.

Marine Corps

Staff Judge Advocate to the Commandant of the Marine Corps (SJA)  The SJA serves as the legal advisor to the Commandant of the Marine Corps as well as Director of the Judge Advocate (JA) Division.  As Director of the JA Division, the SJA supervises and manages the provision of legal assistance services for the Marine Corps.

Legal Assistance Branch (JAL), Staff Judge Advocate to the Commandant of the Marine Corps  The JAL Branch of the SJA website provides links to various legal topics (i.e., advisories, scams, citizenship/immigration information, etc.), Marine Corps policy, and a directory of Legal Assistance Branches across the Marine Corps.

Navy

United States Navy Office of the Judge Advocate General (OJAG)  The Navy OJAG is a world-wide organization that provides legal and policy advice to the Secretary of the Navy in all legal matters concerning military justice, administrative law, environmental law, ethics, claims, admiralty, operational and international law, litigation, and legal assistance.  The Naval Legal Assistance Program is operated by the OJAG.

Navy Legal Service Office (NLSO)  The NLSO provides legal assistance services for active duty service members, their family members, certain Reserve members, and retirees.  The NLSO operates through eight regions: NLSO North Central,  NLSO Mid-Atlantic, NLSO Southeast, NLSO Central, NLSO Southwest, NLSO Northwest, NLSO Pacific, and NLSO Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.  In addition to legal assistance, the individual NLSO regions often provide additional legal-related services, such as defense/personal representation, claims processing, and income tax-related services.

Air Force

Judge Advocate General (JAG) United States Air Force  The Air Force JAG is responsible for all legal matters for the United States Air Force to include legal assistance services for service members, their families, certain Reserve members, and retirees. 

Coast Guard

United States Coast Guard Legal  United States Coast Guard Legal provides information and advice on legal topics associated with the Coast Guard to ensure that missions, operations, and activities can be achieved within the spirit and letter of the law.

United States Coast Guard Legal Assistance  This website provides information on various legal assistance topics to include consumer and contract matters, creditor and debtor relations, family law, and wills and estate planning.
