Jazmin, the intent was to point out the ineffective use of tax dollars. The specialized Airmen not wearing their distinctly Air Force uniform are violating paragraph 1.2.2 of 36-2903. There is nothing in the AFI prescribing wear of another branch's uniform when assigned to a non-Air Force unit. I commend my fellow Airmen for what they do, but I condemn our leadership for poor financial and combatant decisions.

I guess some people will never be happy. Whether it's uniforms policies politics or even the weather some people will find a reason to complain. Just for giggles I went and counted and there is 8 images of SPECIALIZED combat Airmen who have LEGAL alterations done to their uniform.Either way the images this year are AMAZING don't let these few guys complaining ruin it for the rest of us

@Same. Amen. Over half the pictures depict Airmen downrange in uniforms other than ABUs. ABUs are anything but a combat uniform.

I find it truly amazing that the Air force spent millions of dollars on a distinct uniform, but the year in photos distinctly indicates how poor of a choice it was due to the amount of load bearing gear and distincyly Army uniforms are being worn by Airmen. For the next year, I would hope that the Air Force can learn from it's mistakes and do as it has in the past. Successfully ride on the coat tails of it's sister services when it comes to uniformity of American forces.
