Performance Learning Model
The AT&L Performance Learning Model, or PLM, is an overarching learning model that helps us focus on a broader mission that includes not only training, but the additional learning assets we provide. As DAU and the workforce have evolved, so has the PLM. Using this paradigm, DAU will help provide a learning environment for all AT&L organizations that balances the learning assets we provide – training courses, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and mission assistance – with local learning resources and infrastructure via a learning network. This learning network emphasizes connectivity where our customers can seamlessly access a variety of learning assets.
With the PLM as a foundation, the Defense Acquisition Workforce will have a more flexible, responsive, and agile learning environment. This customer-focused approach will significantly contribute to AT&L Goal 1 – High Performing, Agile, and Ethical Workforce. We are extending our learning reach beyond the classroom so that we can maintain a continuous presence with our field organizations and our partners in the workplace.
