RECRUIT'S CHALLENGE
Chase Tillett, 20, from St. Paul, Minn., knocks out 20 pull-ups for basketball fans while taking the Marine Corps challenge at the Target Center where the Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Denver Nuggets Dec. 29. Tillett, who graduated from Tartan High School, ships off to boot camp Feb. 7. He is currently serving in the Delayed Entry Program as the Recruiting Substation Roseville guide.

TUG TEAMS
The aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman returns to Naval Station Norfolk after a seven-month deployment, guided by a team of tugboats, Norfolk, Va., Dec. 20, 2010. CATAPULT MAINTENANCE
U.S. Navy sailors perform maintenance on the catapults aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, off the coast of Yokosuka, Japan, Dec. 29, 2010. Since pulling out of port May 18, 2010, George Washington has traveled 51,700 nautical miles and safely launched and recovered 8,351 aircraft. The George Washington is the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, ensuring security and stability across the western Pacific Ocean.
