Management Control Office

Management Control is a function under the DHP Management Control & Financial Studies Directorate. Management Control’s overarching mission is to:

  • Provide oversight of the management controls to ensure TMA's programs achieve their intended results
  • Manage resource allocation
  • Protect programs and resources from waste, fraud, abuse and mismanagement
  • Guarantee that laws and regulations are followed and reliable and timely information is obtained, maintained, reported, disseminated and used for decision making

Management Control also has primary responsibility for the oversight and control of Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Department of Defense Inspector General (DoD IG) audits affecting the MHS and TMA. It also serves as the Chief Financial Officer's congressional matters advisor for both funding and program matters.

Management Control fosters a close working relationship with the military medical resource management offices to ensure the integration of TMA and MHS management internal controls into the service management control programs to provide uniform oversight of all aspects of the DHP.
