2/3/2011 - ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- The 2011 Air Force Assistance Fund drive is in full swing in the Air Force Reserve Command headquarters.
According to Senior Master Sgt. Christopher Mozingo, command AFAF project officer, those wishing to contribute to the tax deductable charity should contact their unit AFAF rep before the campaign ends March 18. "AFRC's goal this year is $15,971 and the overall Robins Air Force Base goal is $86,751," Sergeant Mozingo said.
The AFAF supports four charities: Air Force Aid Society provides worldwide emergency assistance to Airmen and their families, and sponsored educational and proactive community programs to improve their quality of life; Air Force Enlisted Village provides a home for surviving spouses of retired enlisted Air Force members; Air Force Village cares for Air Force officer widows who need financial assistance; LeMay Foundation awards grants to enlisted and officer retirees and their spouses.
