The TRICARE Fundamentals Course (TFC) is an intense, in-depth review of the TRICARE benefit. It’s highly recommended for Military Health System (MHS) staff with less than three years of TRICARE experience. With well-trained instructors and the opportunity to interact with other students who assist TRICARE beneficiaries, this course provides an ideal setting for discussing beneficiary and staff concerns. After attending all three days of training, passing a 50-question final exam, and completion of the end of course evaluation; students are awarded a Certificate of Training.

The TFC is offered according to the training schedule below. There are no fees for the course registration or materials. However, funding for travel, lodging, and associated travel fees are the responsibility of the participant's unit/agency.

If you don’t have a dot mil or dot gov address, please contact us stating why the training is relevant to your job position. You may attend a course in any region, but seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

SPECIAL NOTE: Registration doesn’t open until approximately one month before the scheduled course start date. Registration closes the Friday before the course or if the course has no vacancies.
