DoDEA Pacific students take deep “Tsukuba” dive into STEM at one of the world’s leading science and research centers

Particle colliders, electrophoresis machines, landscape simulators and mass spectroscopy were all tools of the trade for 60 DoDEA Pacific high school students during the Far East STEM and Research Academy (SARA) held Sept. 24-28 in Tsukuba Science City, Japan.

Academic Excellence at CT Joy Elementary/Middle School Earns Blue Ribbon Recognition from U.S. Department of Education

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan recognized Charles Turner Joy Elementary/Middle School as one of 269 schools selected as 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools during a ceremony held here Sept. 7 at Arlington Traditional Elementary School. The annual selection of Blue Ribbon Schools is based on their overall academic excellence or for making progress in improving student academic achievement levels.

DoDEA Japan District Superintendent announces departure

DoDEA Japan District Superintendent Clayton Fujie announced his resignation Wednesday citing health complications that require prompt attention. Fujie said he will remain Superintendent through March 15 to provide the time necessary for a smooth transition.
