Will there be any out-of-pocket cost during my Transitional Care For Service-Related Conditions (TCSRC) benefit period? |
During your authorized Transitional Care For Service-Related Conditions benefit, your care is handled as if you were on active duty. Ideally, you shouldn’t have out-of-pocket expenses.
However, if you receive non-authorized care or use a provider that isn't TRICARE-authorized you will have to pay out of pocket—TRICARE can’t pay on those claims.
There are some cases where you may have to pay up front and fill a claim for reimbursement: - If you get prescriptions filled at retail pharmacies. For information on filing stateside and overseas pharmacy claims, go to http://www.tricare.mil/mybenefit/home/Prescriptions/Claims.
- If you use a non-participating, TRICARE-authorized provider who doesn’t file claims or if you live overseas and use a host nation provider. For claim forms, information, and mailing addresses go to http://www.tricare.mil/claims. You will be reimbursed 100% of your out-of-pocket costs.
Be sure to include a copy of your Transitional Care For Service-Related Conditions approval letter with any claims you file.
For claims questions, contact your regional contractor; contact information is at http://www.tricare.mil/contactus.
If you have claims issues, be sure to contact your regional contractor immediately to avoid potential collection actions. |
