A wax model of the ear is molded first to ensure proper placement and fit before applying the prosthetic. The Maxillofacial Prosthetics Department at WHMC employs a team that deals with the rehabilitation of patients with acquired and congenital defects of the head and neck region. Wounded in Iraq, Sergeant Harris has endured several medical procedures in the course of three years. During this time he has become a nationally recognized speaker, educating communities about support for wounded warriors.
