A team representing US Africa Command's Pandemic Response Program(PRP) conducted engagements in Nairobi, Kenya for the purpose of establishing pandemic preparedness and disaster management curriculum that will serve military and civilian disaster management stakeholders for Kenya as well as the other members of the East African Community. This is a cornerstone of the fifth and final phase of the 5-Phase PRP. The intent is to assist Partner Nations to enhance and sustain their capacity to manage pandemics and other disasters. This visit included engagements at the International Peace Support Training Center (IPSTC), the Humanitarian Peace Support School (HPSS) and the Kenya Rapid Deployment Capability (KRDC).

Sitting in the comforts of our house we hardly realise the difficulties faced by people who are innocent victims of war and natural disasters. Hats off to all those men and women who are out there helping the Kenyans.
