REP. FUDGE: NO ON FTAs, YES FOR AMERICAN JOBS

REP. FUDGE VOTES YES FOR AMERICAN JOBS, HUMAN RIGHTS, LABOR PROTECTIONS

AND NO ON TRADE AGREEMENTS

"I rise today to speak about the need to keep good paying jobs in America. I voted no on the trade agreements, passed in the House last night, but I voted yes for American jobs-- jobs on American soil-- yes for human rights. Yes for labor protections.

The trade agreements will cost us jobs, at a time when we should be investing in America; And they will lead to further decline of the middle class. These agreements are toxic for Ohioans who work in manufacturing, and other sectors.

History shows the trade deficit is a major cause of the recession through the outsourcing of American jobs.

The U.S.-Korea trade agreement alone will cost 159,000 jobs in the U.S, in its first seven years. Stand with me for the middle class, and against shipping American jobs overseas.

I yield back."
