WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH-- Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) today issued the following statement regarding plans announced by University Hospitals (UH) and Centerre Healthcare Corporation to build a 40-bed comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Beachwood.

"This project brings the first and only free-standing adult rehabilitation hospital to Cuyahoga County.  I congratulate University Hospitals and Centerre Health Corporation on its joint venture.  Patients who need intensive therapy following surgery or traumatic injury will benefit from state-of- the-art rehabilitation facilities and equipment. I applaud the decision to expand in my district.  Our community welcomes this advance in health care and the anticipated creation of 150 new jobs at this facility in Beachwood."
The comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation hospital is an estimated $17 million dollar project. Located at Harvard and Green Roads in Beachwood, it is scheduled for completion in October, 2012.
