New York offers its Air Guard members up to 100% tuition assistance at any state college or university. |
Injury Death Benefits |
New York Air Guard members are eligible for pension benefits, and survivor benefits are available depending upon the nature and extent of disability incurred while on state-summoned active duty. |
Miscellaneous |
New York public employees that serve in the Air Guard are authorized 22 days of paid military leave per year. New York Air Guard members also have exclusive access to distinctive auto plates. |
Reimbursement |
New York will reimburse Air Guard members for expenses incurred on state-summoned active duty for up to 180 days. |
