Education Benefits

Ohio offers its Air Guard members scholarships of up to 100% tuition at state colleges and universities.

Medical Benefits

Ohio Air Guard members on state-summoned active duty are eligible for reimbursement on medical expenses.

Miscellaneous

Ohio Air Guard veterans with honorable discharge status or who have transferred to the Reserves are entitled to 20% added credit on state civil service exams. Ohio state employees that serve in the Air Guard get 22 work days of military leave per year - those that earn less on active duty than at their state employment will be paid the difference. Air Guard members also have exclusive access to distinctive auto plates.
