202nd Red Horse Squadron

The 202nd Red Horse Squadron’s mission is to provide a highly mobile, rapidly deployable civil engineering response force. The unit performs heavy damage repair for recovery of critical Air Force facilities and utility systems following enemy attack or natural disaster. The 202nd builds and maintains the buildings and utilities that make up the Air Force and Air Guard infrastructures. Specializations include architectural, electrical, mechanical and environmental engineering; and encompass the duties of programming, budgeting, project management, drafting, surveying, planning, feasibility studies, construction management and utilities operations.

Water and Fuel Systems Maintenance Specialists are key to maintaining the Air National Guard's high environmental standards. The skills you'll learn in this specialty will translate easily into a successful civilian career in plumbing or water treatment.  As a Water and Fuel Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will learn principles of operation and construction, features of backflow prevention devices, natural gas distribution systems, and fire suppression systems.
