Throughout October, DeCA’s industry partners – vendors, suppliers and brokers – are collaborating with commissaries to offer discounts beyond everyday savings. Overseas stores may have substitute events for certain promotional programs. Customers should check with their local commissary for details on dates and times. With the holidays approaching, you can purchase a commissary gift card to extend the gift of groceries to service members and their families. “Whether it’s mom and dad wanting to help out with a holiday dinner for their son or daughter stationed overseas or a military unit helping a junior enlisted family struggling financially, the Commissary Gift Card is a quick way to extend the benefit during the holidays,” said DeCA Director Joseph Jeu. Gift cards come in denominations of $25 and $50. Anyone can purchase a card here on DeCA’s website or in a commissary. However, only authorized commissary customers can use it.
