Real Warriors Website Offers Tips for Behavioral Fitness

Total fitness means more than having a healthy body and, even, solid mental health, say experts from the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury Real Warriors campaign.  A new web feature describes health, career and more benefits of building behavioral fitness, along with tips for coping with the demands of deployment and reintegration into family life.

Coping with stress in healthy ways, for example, can help maintain a good mood, stay at a healthy weight, sleep better, decrease chances for getting sick and lower the risk of substance misuse.

To manage stress, Real Warriors recommends strategies including identifying people who can lend support in times of crisis and staying connected to social activities.
