September is Suicide Prevention Month. The theme for this year's observance is "A Healthy Force is a Ready Force." The Army Suicide Prevention Program focuses on minimizing suicidal behavior by training Soldiers, leaders, Department of the Army civilians and family members to recognize signs of suicidal behavior, intervention strategies and how to refer individuals for care.- ActivityRecentTobyhanna Army Depot created the event Red Cross Blood Drive.

Tobyhanna Army Depot’s annual Combi...ned Federal Campaign kicks off with a chili contest at 11: 30 a.m. September 19 for first shift employees, and at 4 a.m. September 20 for third shift. The event will take place in Building 1C, Bay 1. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded for the “Best Chili” and the “Best Decorated Booth.” Donations for bake sale and basket items will be accepted. The annual Fishing Derby will be held September 22. The children’s derby will be from 8 to 10:30 a.m. for ages 2-15, followed by adults 16 and up from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Adults must have a valid Pennsylvania Fishing License with Trout Stamp. Tickets are available at the One Stop Shop for N-E-P-A Miners semi-professional football games on September 15 and 22. On September 15, the Miners play the Philadelphia Braves, and on September 22 they play the Electric City Chargers. Home games are played at the Scranton High School. The annual Thanksgiving Lunch Buffet will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. November 13 through 15 at The Landing. The cost is $17 per person and tickets are available at the One Stop Shop. Tickets can be purchased at the time of reservation. Group reservations can be held with one employee name; those purchasing tickets at separate times must know whose name is on the reservation to ensure being seated at the same table.
