This is a favorite recipe of one of DeCA�s frozen foods buyers. Don�t be afraid to try it. He�s not only an expert at providing commissary shoppers with the best choices available in the frozen category, he�s also an excellent cook!

Tater Tot™ Hot Dish

  • Ingredients

    • 4 cups frozen Tater Tots™
    • 1 pound lean ground beef
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 (14.5 ounce) can French style green beans, drained
  • Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat an 11�9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
    2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown onions and ground beef for 4 to 5 minutes, or until beef is cooked through, stirring occasionally. Discard any excess fat if needed. Pour into baking dish.
    3. Add soup and green beans to ground beef and onion mixture; stir gently to combine.
    4. Spread mixture evenly in baking dish; arrange Tater Tots™ on top in a single layer.
    5. Bake uncovered for about 45 minutes, or until Tater Tots™ are golden brown and beef mixture is bubbly.
    • Yields: 6 Servings
