AFRC Youth of the Year


Air Force Reserve dependents, ages 14-18, are eligible to compete for the Air Force Reserve Command Youth of the Year. One winner will be selected from AFRC and will be required to attend the AF Youth of the Year Award Ceremony and Leadership Program in Washington, DC, June 20-23, 2012. 

**Note - AFR dependents are not required to be a member of an installation/community Boys and Girls Club. Applicants can write about any club they are a member of in their school/community where club is referenced on the application. Airline and POV travel costs, lodging, meals, and program cost will be centrally funded at no cost to the participant or their installations.

The Air Force Youth of the Year is an annual recognition program for teens in grades 9-12. Teens will complete an application which includes essays that address five areas: home and family, moral character, community, school, and life goals.
