169th Fighter Wing

The 169th Fighter Wing, located at the McEntire Joint National Guard Base in Eastover, SC, was the first Guard unit in the nation to be assigned the F-16 Fighting Falcon, and continues to the fly and maintain the most advanced F-16 in the Air Force inventory. The 169th continues to be the most respected F-16 Wing in the nation. We have participated in Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom, and have flown in support of Operations Northern and Southern Watch.
