147th Reconnaissance Wing

The 147th Reconnaissance Wing provides two 24/7 MQ-1B Predator Unmanned Aerial Systems combat support sorties, which provide theater and national-level leadership with critical real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance and air-to-ground munitions and strike capability. Also, the Air Support Operations Squadron provides terminal control for weapons employment in a close air support scenario integrating combat air and ground operations.

Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Specialists are the most skilled and courageous Airmen in the entire Air National Guard. They are Ranger and Airborne qualified, proficient in air assault, scuba operation, and various parachute tactics, and maintain the highest physical and mental standards. You'll find TACP Specialists imbedded on the front lines of war among Army and Marine Special Force units to provide U.S. and allied forces with tactical air support for ground attack fighters. As a TACP Specialist, you and your team engages enemy forces utilizing advanced technologies and weapon systems to direct air strikes in close proximity of friendly forces. As a Remotely Operated Aircraft Officer, you'll supervise and lead those missions. In this exciting career, you'll operate remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) equipment and systems, electro-optical sensor systems, and electronic protection (EP) equipment to complete intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. You'll also plan missions, including close air support, interdiction, armed reconnaissance, combat search and rescue, and limited forward air control. That's why we need Cyber Transport Systems Specialists to deploy, sustain, troubleshoot and repair standard voice, data and video network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems and cryptographic equipment. In this role, you'll manage devices and systems with the most current software tools. You'll also implement and maintain all aspects of network systems and cryptographic equipment and video services, using technical data, voltage and waveform measurements, and block diagrams.
