F-16 FIGHTING FALCON
The 419th Fighter Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah was the first Reserve unit to fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the only Air Force Reserve unit in Utah. The mission of the wing is to provide gaining commands a ready, fighting force through recruiting, equipping and training for worldwide combat. The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has proven itself in air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack. OVER THE GULF OF MEXICO -- Capt. Steve Boatright, an F-16C Fighting Falcon pilot, fires an AIM-9M Sidewinder heat-seeking missile at an aerial target drone over the Gulf of Mexico. Hog Heaven
1990's -- HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Shauna Sullins installs a wire harness in an A-10 Thunderbolt II. She works in "Hog Heaven," the A-10 production section of the aircraft directorate at the Ogden Air Logistics Center here. She said work on the home front will be vital in the war against terrorism.
