21TSC Civilian Logistics Activities Closing

In support of the ongoing USAREUR transformation, effective 01 Oct 12, 21TSC will inactivate the following civilian activities that have been long-time logistics support providers to the theater:

  • Maintenance Activity Mannheim (MAM)
  • Regional Supply Support Activity-Mannheim (RSSA-MA)
  • Material Laboratory Mannheim (MLM); ( NOTE: The MLM is not associated with the AOAP Lab)
  • Maintenance Activity Pirmasens (MAP)

Despite the inactivations, the Theater Logistics Support Center-Europe (TLSC-E) will continue to provide maintenance and supply support to USAREUR units through its other enduring activities. All supported organizations affected by these inactivations should have already received a memorandum detailing the transition timeline and concept. If your organization did not receive a memorandum, or if your organization still has questions regarding the transition, please contact Mr. Darren Ratcliff in the TLSC-E Support Operations Directorate at DSN 483-3101, email: darren.j.ratcliff.civ@mail.mil.

Following the inactivation of the Material Laboratory Mannheim, 21TSC will no longer offer material testing support due to the extremely low demand in theater. Organizations requiring material testing support are authorized to obtain single testing support from local vendors using their Government Purchase Card, or obtain recurring testing support from local vendors by initiating a service contract through the 409th Contracting Brigade.

The current Material Laboratory Mannheim Director, Dr. Heinrich Gaa, is available until 30 Sep 12, to advise organizations on local vendors that have material testing capability at DSN 382-4115 or email: heinrich.gaadr.ln@mail.mil.
