Lance Honors U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Athletes On Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON -- Today on Capitol Hill, Congressman Leonard Lance attended a special event honoring U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes.  During the event, Lance discussed his legislation honoring Team U.S.A. for its participation in the 2010 Paralympic Games.

“I am proud to honor these athletes this morning who have inspired all Americans through their unwavering commitment to the Olympic ideals,” Lance said.  “The U.S. Teams demonstrated the great American spirit, courage and achievement at the most recent Olympic and Paralympic Games and deserve today’s congressional honor.”

Next month, Lance will officially unveil his bipartisan legislation honoring Paralympic athletes with Josh Pauls of Green Brook who helped the U.S. Paralympic Hockey Team bring home a gold medal.

The Seventh District Congressman noted that Pauls served as the inspiration for his measure.
