Pfc. Devian Crane, Honor Guard Company, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), tries out for the Continental Color Guard at Joint Base Myer " Henderson Hall Oct. 8. Candidates go through a grueling training regimen in order to be considered for a position in the CCG. One test all candidates must pass is a three hour long standing proficiency test, in which they must stand at attention, perfectly still, for three hours in a room heated up to 90 degrees. Mission Statement
The 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) conducts memorial affairs to honor our fallen comrades, and ceremonies and special events to represent the Army, communicating its story to our Nation's citizens and the world.

On order, conducts defense support of civil authorities in the National Capitol Region.
