DC3 Honors Poolesville HS Students for their Win in the DC3 Digital Forensics Challenge

Congratulations to our 2011 DC3 Digital Forensics Challenge US and Global High School winners: Brendan Rowan, Kevin Harrison, Jack Zhu, and Eric Harrison (photographed left to right) of team AlphaPHS.

The teammates entered in style with a great video and were honored in a school assembly by their instructors and peers. Mr. Jim Christy (SA Ret.) and Mr. Brian Andrzejewski of DC3, along with Mr. Alan Paller of SANS, traveled to Poolesville High School in Rockville, MD to meet team AlphaPHS and recognize them for their achievement.

Team AlphaPHS has also won a trip, sponsored by SANS to the 2012 DoD Cyber Crime Conference in Atlanta, GA. The team will have the opportunity to present their solutions and network with the movers and shakers in all aspects of cyber crime investigations.

The team is eager to participate in the 2012 DC3 Digital Forensics Challenge and compete on the undergraduate level. We hope that their success will inspire more students to get involved with digital forensics and possibly start a club in their schools.
