Where can I find employment information? |
Information about job openings in the Defense Commissary Agency can be found on our Employment Opportunities page. This page features a link (under the DeCA seal) to the list of all DeCA job openings, which are posted on USAJOBS.com, the official job site of the U.S. federal government. To navigate to Employment Opportunities, click on Careers in the navigation menu near the top of every main page on this site. You'll find the Employment Opportunities link listed as the second item down in the section topical navigation menu featured on the left side of that page. |

How can I find a commissary nearest me? |
This site offers three services to help locate the nearest commissary. You can find these services by clicking on Locations, which is the second topic listed in the navigation menu near the top of main pages on this site. Here you'll find "Alphabetical Listings,""Geographical Listings" and "Store Locator." Alphabetical and Geographical listings will take you to the web pages of the store that you select. These pages are updated directly by each store, so they represent the latest information stores want to communicate to their customers. The Store Locator is a Mapquest feature that lists commissaries within a radius of miles (determined by you) for an address you provide. The "Welcome" pages of each commissary feature Mapquest links that will provide driving directions and a map to that commissary. |

How can I make a shopping list? |
Our Shopping List feature enables you to see the items your store carries, build a list of those items and print them. You can find the Shopping List by clicking on Shopping which is the third topic listed in the navigation menu near the top of main pages on this site. You'll find the Create a shopping list link listed as the fourth item down in the section topical navigation menu featured on the left side of the Shopping page. To create a shopping list you must first select the commissary where you shop. To do this, notice the top left line that states, "You are shopping at . " followed by a link entitled "change store." Click on "change store" to get a drop down menu from which you select the commissary where you shop. After you've selected your store, you may view items by selecting a department through the drop down menu, and then select a commodity and product. Another way to find products is by using the "Search" feature, which is just below the "product" field. Items from either search method appear below the search field and they are listed by brand with a brief description including volume or quantity. You select items for your shopping list by clicking on them. They appear in the column at the right and include quantities, which you can change at any time by clicking on them. When you've finished building your list, select "preview list" to see how it will look. You can print it out using your printer buttons in the menu at the top of the page. |
