Inclement Weather Sources

The KMC's primary inclement weather sources are AFN television, radio broadcasts and 480-COLD.

By calling the weather hotline at DSN 480-COLD (2653) or 06371-47-2653 (COLD), callers will receive a brief recorded message describing current conditions and reporting status within the community.

AFN television reports appear regularly as subtitles on the bottom of the television screen during inclement weather.

In addition, AFN Radio broadcast these reports three to four times per hour. People can tune in to one of these broadcasts to receive the latest road condition, school and reporting information from the following radio stations:
