The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) is postponing the Command Language Program Manager (CLPM) Conference originally scheduled for June 26-28, 2012 in Seaside, Calif., until next year.
Although a postponement of the 2012 CLPM conference will reduce the language community’s effective communication and sustainment efforts, a one-year break in the conference is viewed by DLIFLC as an acceptable risk. A long-term effect of a permanent cancellation of the conference would however critically impact the professional DoD language community. DLFILC will therefore pursue alternate avenues to conduct this essential annual training. Mitigation for the postponement of the 2012 CLPM conference will be attained through a series of video teleconferences and correspondence with DLIFLC CLPM personnel and Institute staff and leadership. |
