Colonel Douglas L. Flohr

COL Douglas L. Flohr is the Deputy Director, Operations of the Biometrics Identity Management Agency, and serves as Site Manager for BIMA offices in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Raised in Grafton, West Virginia, COL Flohr is the oldest son of Samuel and Wanda Flohr. He was commissioned in the Infantry upon graduation from West Virginia University in 1986. He served in numerous command and staff positions throughout the Infantry including command of both the 5th Ranger Training Battalion (Mountain Phase), and United States Army Ranger Training Brigade.

COL Flohr’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, a Master of Arts degree in Education from West Virginia University, and Master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal with seven Oak Leaf Clusters, the Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge and the Master Parachutist Badge.

COL Flohr has been married to the former Christina Boyce also of Grafton West Virginia for twenty-eight years. Christina is a Registered Nurse. Their daughter Rhianna (25) is married to Patrick Thompson, residing in Austin, Texas. Their oldest son, 2LT Samuel Flohr (23) is married to the former Courtney DeWitt, stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. Their youngest son Benjamin (13) resides at home.
