Mass Transportation Benefits Program

Welcome to the DoD National Capital Region Mass Transportation Benefit Program (MTBP) web site. This site assists DoD employees working in the NCR with receiving a transit benefit for their daily commute.


Notice: The maximum allowed transit beneift decreased from $230 per month in 2011 to $125 per month in 2012.

In February 2009, the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) temporarily raised the transit benefit statutory limit to $230 per month. This new amount was not intended to be permanent and expired on December 31, 2011. Unless a new statutory limit is approved by congress, the statutory limit will remain $125 per month.
