All personnel in the Bavaria Military Community (BMC) should avoid demonstrations.
Though there is no known threat targeting US persons, US citizens could become accidentally involved during these demonstrations. In response this to these threats, all personnel must remain aware, alert, and attentive to their surroundings. Remember to review basic Force Protection measures and maintain constant situational awareness.
Individual Security Measures to Observe
• Be aware of your surroundings.
• Avoid planned gatherings or demonstrations.
• If you come upon a demonstration, remain calm and leave the area.
• Maintain a low profile; do not draw attention to yourself.
• Travel in small groups and vary movements.
• Always let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return.
• Stay away from high risk areas.
• Know emergency numbers.
• Carry a cell phone or charge for a pay phone.
• Keep vehicle in good working order and fuel tank full.
• Monitor AFN when possible for updates while travelling.
• Consider joining an auto safety club in the event of a mechanical breakdown or vehicle accident.
Report any suspected surveillance of US Military installations, military personnel, or other suspicious activities - terrorists & other criminals normally conduct surveillance of their targets prior to conducting terrorist. Disrupting their surveillance may prevent an attack or other crimes.
You are the eyes and ears of your community - remain vigilant, remain situationally aware, report any suspicious activities.

FOR ALL ACTIVE DUTY: Check your MEDPROS status (or whatever database your service uses) to see if you are current on vaccines. If you need any vaccines, or will in the next three months, send an e-mail to Laura Bertuzzi in the Tricare office, laura.bertuzzi@us.army.mil, with your name and what you need no-later-than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 October. She will check if the vaccination team can support.
