The Clinical Veterinary Medicine program (CVM) provides guidance regarding issues which impact the health of Department of Defense animals cared for by Public Health Command veterinary assets such as military working dogs and ceremonial horses. The CVM similarly provides input to the command as it applies to privately owned pets of active duty service members, military retirees, and their dependents.
