- It's time again for our September case lot sale! Check this link to find out when your store will be having its sale: http://www.commissaries.com/stores/html/store.cfm?dodaac=N&page=case_lot_dates. And remember, we encourage you to take ful...l advantage of not only the savings our case lot sales offer but also the additional savings you'll get by using coupons. And remember, our policy for redeeming coupons has not changed - it's the same for store and case lot sale purchases. We redeem coupons as specified by the manufacturer's terms and conditions written on the each coupon. So, if there are no other coupons linked to an item or provided by the manufacturer, you can use your coupon as specified. If you should have a question about a coupon, please ask to speak with the manager on duty or store director while you are at the sale. Our coupon policy applies to all of our commissaries, but the key to understanding how we redeem coupons is to understand that all coupons are manufacturer coupons, so we follow their redemption terms as printed on each coupon.See More

- A MINUTE IN COMMISSARY HISTORY: It’s been 200 years since the War of 1812 began, and in this video, DeCA Historian Dr. Peter Skirbunt, tells how mistakes made during that war necessitated reforms that improved the delivery of soldiers’ rati...ons, allowed officers to purchase goods directly from the subsistence department and ultimately led to the establishment of the modern commissary benefit. This video is the 13th in a series of “A Minute of History” videos produced by DeCA to observe the Agency’s 20th anniversary and the commissary benefit’s 145th.See More

- FOOD RECALL: Produce distributor Splendid Products is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Daniella brand mangoes because of possible salmonella contamination. Customers are reminded that whenever a commissary has a recalled product in its...inventory, the product is immediately removed from store shelves. Although we are in the process of confirming if this product is in our stores, we wanted to put the word out to inform our patrons of the possible health risk. Our food safety officials are monitoring this recall for any updates. The following product is being recalled: Daniella brand mangoes – PLU numbers: 3114, 4051, 4311, 4584 and 4959. The mangoes were sold between July 12 through Aug. 29. The affected recall items are whole, individual mangoes. Salmonella can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever, which can develop within 72 hours after eating the affected food. The illness can last four to seven days, and most people recover without treatment. However, salmonellosis can be severe or even life-threatening for infants, older people, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Commissary customers are reminded that they can always return recalled products to the store of purchase for a full refund.See More

- Senator Daniel K. Inouye was the keynote speaker Aug. 21 at a meeting of the American Logistics Association, whose members include the manufacturers, distributors and brokers supplying resale products to commissaries. In his home state of H...awaii, Senator Inouye talked about the important role commissaries play in providing a benefit to military families and just how deserving those families are. The senator said, “But the primary beneficiary, our fiduciary, first and foremost is to America's armed forces and their families. We owe them an enormous debt of gratitude for their sacrifices on our behalf. Keep in mind that less than one percent of Americans are willing to step forward to wear our nation's uniform.’ Thank you, Senator Inouye, for stating our sentiments so eloquently.
