“Teach Children to Save Day”, where volunteers from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and a number of area banks visit St. Louis-area elementary schools to conduct 45-minute lessons on the importance of developing good personal finance habits early on. Students will learn about income, how to save and how to create a savings plan to reach a personal finance goal.
Karl Ashman, senior vice president of Administration and Check Services; Julie Stackhouse, senior vice president of Banking Supervision and Regulation; and Michael Renfro, senior vice president and general auditor, along with the St. Louis Fed’s mascot, Fred the Frugal Eagle, will teach the classes.
