The Federal Reserve has been prominent in coming to the aid of the ailing economy.  Recent events have sharpened the focus on the Fed’s role in the country and its actions to help rescue the economy.  This workshop presents the history of the Fed, the Fed’s structure and its independence within the government, how the Fed uses economic indicators to make policy decisions, and how it influences changes in liquidity and credit to promote sustainable economic growth and stable prices. The workshop will provide you with keen insights into the role of the Federal Reserve as well as demonstrations and student activities for you to take back to the classroom.
