2012 Hazardous Materials Conference

Hazardous Materials ConferenceThe North Dakota Department of Emergency Services and the North Dakota State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) are sponsoring this two day conference. The purpose of the conference is to update those that manufacture, transport, store, sell, and use hazardous materials on safety issues, reporting requirements, and regulations concerning hazardous materials. The conference includes both plenary and concurrent sessions allowing participants to choose presentations that meet their individual needs. The conference is approved for 15 hours of P.O.S.T. Board training credits.

The theme, "Having a Positive Outcome" is demonstrated in the agenda. Specific topics include Bakken Oil Field Development, Hazardous Materials Environmental Impacts, The State and Local Intelligence Center, ND Hazardous Materials Issues, Chemical Disposal, Global Harmonization, Regional Response, preparing for A Hazardous Materials Spill through exercising, Hazardous Materials Response Certifications, and EPA response resources and more.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Ramkota Hotel. Reservations can be made by calling 701.258.7700 or toll free at 1.800.528.1234. Advise the reservations clerk that you will be participating in the ND Hazardous Materials Conference to receive the state government lodging rate. Lodging and meals will be reimbursed to conference participants according to state regulations.
