The United States has trade relations with more than 75 countries around the world.
The top five export markets for U.S. goods in 2008 were:
- Canada, $261.4 billion
- Mexico, $151.5 billion
- China, $71.5 billion
- Japan, $66.6 billion
- United Kingdom, $54.7 billion
At USTR, trade with countries is coordinated by regional offices. The seven regions are:
- Africa
- Americas
- China
- Europe and the Middle East
- Japan, Korea and APEC
- South and Central Asia
- Southeast Asia and the Pacific
