Keeping Our Promise To Our Veterans
Representative Martin Heinrich meets members of the New Mexico National Guard at the home of a guardsman who recently returned from Afghanistan. He listens to members about their experiences, benefits, and the challenges their families face. |
Few sacrifices are as selfless as those our military service men and women make in defense of our country. Our men and women in uniform dedicate themselves to our nation’s ideals of democracy, freedom, and liberty. This tradition runs deep in New Mexico’s history, and at times our state has had the highest rate of military volunteerism of any state in the country.
It is only fitting that we welcome home those who serve in our Armed Forces with the honor and benefits that they have earned. I am pleased to present Keeping Our PROMISE: A Resource Guide for Veterans and their Families. The guide is aimed at making resources and benefits more accessible to veterans, returning military members and their families. I also want to reinforce that my staff is always on-hand to provide top-notch service and assistance with accessing these benefits and programs.
I thank our veterans for their immeasurable service to our nation. My staff is always on-hand to provide top-notch service and assistance with accessing veterans benefits and programs. Our veterans have put aside their own comforts in order to put on a uniform and protect our country’s well-being. Their courage, bravery and determination drive each of us to be better servants of our cherished America.
