Texas Comptroller Susan Combs

Combs swore in 24-year Austin Police Department veteran Max Westbrook as the new chief of her Criminal Investigation Division during a ceremony at the Texas Capitol in Austin on Sept. 14, 2009. The Comptroller’s Criminal Investigation Division deters intentional criminal conduct against the state tax laws by detecting and investigating tax-related crimes and by informing the public of the results of case prosecution on its Web site.
