Welcome to Fort Leonard Wood Geographic Information System Maps On-line!
This Mapping System is a tool to create maps interactivly from data compiled by the Directorate of Public Works. This data represent entities such as buildings, roads, lakes, ponds, hunting areas and become the basic elements of the maps you create.
The map window is where everything happens. You can use the map window to create new maps and to retrieve information about specific map features. When the action menu is set to "Browse Maps", by clicking the the map window you will get a new map centered at the point you clicked. When in any of the "Query" modes, you can click on features in that category to receive information on that feature.
Due to the nature of the internet, times may vary for maps to display. Please be patient when retrieving maps, as network traffic may effect the speed maps are delivered and refreshing the screen will effect network traffic.
We are continually adding new theme's to the Map Server all the time, so check back from time-to-time to see what's new.
