WASHINGTON –Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today announced that Laura Gallo of Cranford has completed a summer internship in his Capitol Hill Office. Gallo, 21, is currently a senior at Georgetown University in D.C.

“Laura is a very bright young person who I am proud of the hard-work and professionalism she contributed to my congressional office,” Lance said.  “Internships are a great way for students to learn more about how government works and serve the people of their community through public service.”

Interns in Lance’s congressional office perform a variety of duties, including greeting office visitors, facilitating tours of the U.S. Capitol for visiting residents and helping staff with legislative research projects as well as constituent correspondence.
 
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to intern in Congressman Lance’s office,” Gallo said. “It was a great way gain valuable work experience and also learn about the inner workings of Congress and our government outside of the classroom.”

Gallo is the daughter of John and Lenore Gallo of Cranford.  She is a 2007 graduate of Cranford High School.
