7th District Lawmaker Helps Secure Long-Overdue Combat Awards

WESTFIELD, NJ – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) on Wednesday, April 20 held a special ceremony to present long overdue service medals to Vietnam veteran Eugene Bernhardt of Metuchen for his service in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972.

Bernhardt was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon.
